Our commitment to being inclusive isn't a tactic. It’s a belief, a celebration of difference, and a moral imperative. It's how we work and who we are.
We believe an inclusive culture, which values diversity, leads to better decision-making, drives greater creativity and innovation, better meets the needs of our clients and is more motivating for our people. As a signatory to the UN Global Compact Principles and UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, we’re committed to eliminating discrimination in employment and occupation, and empowering women in the workplace, marketplace and community. These principles lay a foundation for our efforts to create a world where everyone is treated fairly and gender, race and identity are not barriers to fulfilment.
The three principles underpinning KPMG Lower Gulf’s inclusion & diversity action plan are:
- Promote an inclusive culture, built on trust
- Educate to encourage empathy in the workforce
- Advocate for equality
We empower people to be themselves and respect others – it’s central to our values and beliefs. This inclusiveness is something we have lived and breathed throughout our history. We believe in a future where everyone feels included, no matter where they work or live, and diversity is embraced.
In short, we are the sum of our people and their stories. We believe an inclusive future is a better future for all. It’s who we are.
We believe in a future where everyone feels included, no matter where they work or live, and diversity is embraced. We believe an inclusive future is a better future for all.
To mark the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Nader Haffar, Chairman of KPMG MESA, and Chairman & CEO of KPMG Lower Gulf, was honored to discuss inclusive leadership with Omar al Shami, Vice President of the Regional Athlete Leadership Input Council, a star swimmer representing the UAE in the Special Olympics. At KPMG, embracing diversity is not a destination: it is a journey. We dream of a future where everyone is included, because an inclusive future is a brighter future for all.
