Eugen Strimitzer has been a tax partner at KPMG since 2005 and has many years of experience in providing tax advice to national and international clients as well as public corporations and NPOs. After more than 15 years working primarily at KPMG's Mödling office in Lower Austria, where he focused on advising small and medium-sized enterprises and family businesses and promoted the provision of advice to public corporations, he has been responsible for tax M&A consulting as a tax partner since 2019. In this role, he is Head of M&A Tax for KPMG Austria. Together with his team, his consulting activities focus on tax transaction consulting, which includes tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-acquisition consulting. In recent years, management incentive programs have also become part of his consulting activities in this context.
Other areas of focus include all types of reorganizations, from lawyers, doctors, and SMEs to corporate reorganizations. International tax issues are also part of his team's consulting services. Eugen Strimitzer is a member of the Tax Law Committee and the Corporate Reporting Committee of the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors and heads the working group on the KFS RL 25 expert opinion on the accounting of reorganizations. He is also the author of numerous publications in Austrian tax literature, (co-)editor and author (including on Section 10 of the Austrian Corporation Tax Act (KStG)) of a commentary on the KStG, and a speaker at numerous internal and external KPMG events.
