      • KPMG in Belgium’s people and their families plant 4000 native trees

      Holsbeek, Belgium, 24 and 25 February 2024 – The KPMG community comes together to plant the KPMG Forest, giving 4000 trees a new home in Holsbeek.

      Giving back to nature and our communities is an essential aspect of life at KPMG and integral to our values and culture. The forest serves as a strong symbol and demonstration of our commitment to sustainability and investments in projects that align with Our Impact Plan. That’s why the planting weekend is more than just a one-off planting ceremony: it was important to us to acquire the domain and partner up with BOS+ for a long-term collaboration. 

      Since the beginning of my mandate as CEO, I’ve had the ambition to plant a KPMG Forest. Trees are symbols of resilience and sustainable growth. The KPMG Forest embodies our long-term commitment to being good stewards of our planet and having a positive impact on our community. It’s an investment in the future of our planet and a pledge to grow a green environment to enjoy as community for generations to come.

      Plus de 400 employés de KPMG et leurs familles se sont rassemblés pendant le week-end de plantation et ont offert un nouveau foyer à 4000 jeunes arbres à Holsbeek. Le site s’étend sur 1,6 hectare, soit l’équivalent de trois terrains de football, et a été méticuleusement sélectionné pour sa localisation centrale et sa facilité d’accès. BOS+ a choisi avec soin un mélange parfait d’essences locales pour reboiser le terrain. À terme, la Forêt KPMG deviendra une oasis dédiée aux bains de forêt, un endroit où chacun pourra profiter des bienfaits de la nature.

      To be able to create new forests in a region with so few trees and nature, is a very rewarding and worthwhile endeavor. For BOS+, this has been a strategic goal for many years, but the fact that more and more companies such as KPMG are actively supporting us in doing this and that we can plant the trees together with the people of KPMG, gives us a lot of extra energy to fulfill this ambition.
