By virtue of the EU Council decision and regulations dated 8th July 2025 Bulgaria was accepted as the 21st member of the eurozone. The euro will be introduced in Bulgaria as of 1st January 2026 at the conversion rate of BGN 1.95583 for EUR 1.


There will be implications to the businesses in many areas, such as accounts, tax returns, IT systems, corporate and employment matters which have to be dealt with until certain key dates. For more information please follow the link.
