      Mukta is an audit professional with over 23 years of experience and currently serves as Head of the Department of Professional Practice (DPP) for a regional cluster of six countries in the Middle East and South Asia. She leads technical accounting and auditing guidance across industries, working closely with KPMG Global Technical Teams.

      Specializing in IFRS, ISAs, banking, and financial services, Mukta drives initiatives on emerging accounting and auditing issues, including complex standards such as IFRS 9, 15, and 16. She is a member of the KPMG EMA Financial Instruments topic team and represents KPMG Bahrain in discussions with local audit bodies and regulators.

      With a strong background in auditing banks and financial institutions, she brings deep expertise in financial instruments, IFRS 9, derivatives, and hedge accounting.
