Zarina is the Regional Managing Partner of our Regions West practice, leading our client service and market development activities across the region’s nine offices.
Zarina serves as an Audit Partner in KPMG’s Edmonton office and has previous experience working in KPMG’s offices in Calgary and New York. Clients characterize Zarina as being accessible, pragmatic, and knowledgeable. She is known for her hands-on approach with clients and her teams. She possesses a strong knowledge of corporate governance and works directly with the executive teams, audit committees, and boards of directors at several large organizations.
Zarina has a proven record of being an effective leader with considerable experience developing and managing large teams, overseeing complex engagements, and working with clients on technical matters, including numerous acquisitions, financing transactions, framework conversions, and business process design. She has led audits of financial statements and internal controls throughout her career, including for several of KPMG's national and global accounts, with a focus on companies listed on the TSX and/or NYSE.
