John is the Global Institutional Investors Group Lead and the Head of Deal Advisory for Canada. He advises the pension plan and private equity community on domestic and cross-border transactions. He has also served as the Canadian leader for the Transaction Services practice. John is currently a member of KPMG Canada’s Board of Directors. John’s focus industries also include retail, software, media, manufacturing, gaming, healthcare and seniors’ housing. Prior to joining KPMG, John worked in a corporate development role at a software publisher where he assisted on acquisition activities. His experience also includes the mergers and acquisitions group of a corporate finance dealer, where he advised companies on acquisition and divestiture mandates.
