Myriam Duguay is a Partner and National Service Line Leader for Forensics. Starting at KPMG in 2003 in the Forensic practice, she has experience in a wide range of client engagements related to risk management, ethics and compliance, fraud and workplace harassment investigations, and fraud prevention. She is also leading the whistleblower line services for KPMG Canada.
During her career, she has led professional negligence engagements, quantification of damages engagements for litigation cases (including a variety of class action engagements) and insurance claims and has been involved in cybersecurity litigation cases. In September 2009, Myriam Duguay was appointed as an expert witness by the Superior Court – Montreal District for the first time.
Myriam has given numerous investigation and forensic accounting presentations and has extensive experience as an instructor and speaker, including the following:
- Presentations to Laval University’s Board Member Program from 2008 to date;
- Training to the Corporate Ethics Management Council of the Conference Board of Canada on Forced Labor in Canadian Supply Chains in 2024;
- Conference on Bill C-59 – Greenwashing in 2024;
- Conferences at the ACFE and ACFI on The dark side of ESG reporting 2022-2023; and
- Various trainings on ethics, fraud, and corruption to several Canadian and international companies.
