Peter Hayes is a Partner and the National Leader for KPMG’s Canadian Alternative Investments practice with over 15 years of professional services experience. He has industry experience developing and managing alternative investment products with Citigroup in New York and is a frequent commentator on emerging industry issues. He is well versed in the asset management industry globally, with clients in Canada, the US, the UK, Europe and Asia, among others, and experience working in Canada, the US, and Cayman Islands. Peter leads engagements with clients registered with local and global regulatory bodies such as OSC, OSFI, MFDA, IIROC, SEC, CFTC/NFA, FCA, and CIMA. He has in-depth experience in global capital markets audits and accounting practices under IFRS, US GAAP, and Canadian GAAP. Peter has involvement with the Alternative Investment Management Association, Investment Funds Institute of Canada, and Canadian Securities Lending Association.
