Micaela is an audit partner with over 17 years of experience in providing audit services to clients across Northern BC. She attended the University of Northern British Columbia to obtain her accounting degree and articled with KPMG's Prince George office for her CPA, CA designation. Micaela worked at the KPMG Prince George office advancing her career over the years from staff accountant to partner. She works with many different businesses and organizations on a daily basis to ensure they have the support and expertise they need. Micaela will work with KPMG specialists across the country to bring her clients the services they need to the North. The indigenous sector is an area that Micaela spends a significant amount of her time in service to Nation communities with their required audits, funder needs and other advice and reporting. Although she immigrated from Portugal as a child, she grew up in Northern BC therefore feels a close connection to her clients every day and understands the market. Micaela is passionate about volunteering in her community and giving back using her skills in accounting to assist with financial oversight in governance roles or a sounding board for suggestions on internal controls to be implemented in a finance department. Micaela prides herself on being an advisor you can count on and reach out to whenever needed.
