      Benjie Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of KPMG in Canada. He is a member of KPMG’s Global Board and the Global Council of KPMG International. As CEO, Benjie provides leadership to and is responsible for the firm’s business and its more than 10,000 professionals across Canada.

      Prior to his appointment as CEO, Benjie served as the Canadian Managing Partner for KPMG’s Advisory practice, where he was responsible for the operational and growth strategies of the firm’s Advisory business which included Management Consulting, Risk Consulting and Deal Advisory practices.

      As an adviser, Benjie has more than 25 years of experience assisting Canada’s most prominent private equity funds and strategic buyers. Benjie has advised on some of Canada's largest transactions with a consistent track record of providing sought-after advice and innovative solutions to create success. His sector expertise includes private equity, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, retail, information and entertainment. He is well-known for his focus on coordinating and providing advisory services in many aspects of mergers and acquisitions including financial due diligence, transaction management, dispositions and financings.

      Benjie is deeply committed to the communities we serve. He is a council member for CPA Ontario and serves on the Advisory Council for the University of Waterloo and the Advisory Board for Muslims Achieving Excellence.
