For more than 14 years, my focus has been on providing tax advice to international groups with domestic business activities. Due to my own origins in the "border triangle" and the proximity of the Düsseldorf location to the border, I have specialized in advising on tax issues in the German-Belgian and German-Dutch context.
As head of the Belgium country practice in Germany, I work together with KPMG's country experts from other business areas, where necessary, to find tailor-made solutions for Belgian companies with domestic activities and for German companies investing in Belgium. Close cooperation and regular professional exchange with my Belgian KPMG colleagues is an important part of my work.
In addition to ongoing tax advice (e.g. fulfillment of compliance obligations and support during tax audits), I primarily advise on cross-border tax cases in the areas of M&A, transfer pricing and financing structures as well as cross-border transactions with regard to their VAT consequences.
In the case of domestic investments (e.g. in the form of corporations or partnerships or permanent establishments), I advise my clients in all project phases with regard to legal and tax law issues and support them in fulfilling all notification, registration and declaration obligations
