      Jens Berberich studied law at the University of Heidelberg and business administration at the University of Mannheim. He qualified as a business graduate in 2001 and received his doctorate in accounting law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Heidelberg one year later. He was appointed as a lawyer in 2002, as a tax consultant in 2004 and as an auditor in 2006. He is a member of the Corporate Law Association (VGR) and the German Tax Law Society (DStJG).

      His professional expertise lies in corporate tax law and tax advice on restructurings and corporate transactions (M&A). His areas of expertise range from tax due diligence and tax structuring of the sale or acquisition process to tax advice on post-deal integration. Jens Berberich is also an expert in reorganization tax law; he advises on corporate transformations, reorganizations and restructurings.

      Jens Berberich has many years of experience in providing tax advice to companies of all sizes and legal forms and has focused in particular on medium-sized and owner-managed companies and their family offices as well as on portfolio companies of financial investors.

      He is a university lecturer in tax law at Mainz University of Applied Sciences and at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, where he teaches international tax law, reorganization tax law and VAT law, among other subjects.
