Marc Oliver Birmans is a partner in the Global Transfer Pricing Services service line at the Frankfurt office. He has over 17 years of experience in the field of transfer pricing consulting in Germany and the UK with KPMG. Mr. Birmans advises on the entire transfer pricing life cycle from planning, implementation, documentation to defense, including enforcement in tax audits, in (preliminary) mutual agreement proceedings and before tax courts. He has particular experience in M&A projects as well as in the restructuring of business models and relocation of production sites.
Mr. Birmans is the specialist for the interface consulting Transfer Pricing & Treasury within the German transfer pricing group and together with his colleagues he supports industrial companies and real estate companies with regard to intra-group financing transactions (loans, cash pooling, guarantees etc.) with a focus on planning global models (incl. in-house bank concepts) and tax audit defense. In the course of his consultancy work, he has carried out or supported several hundred economic analyses on the pricing of financing transactions.
His clients include German and foreign companies of all sizes and from various industries. He attaches particular importance to offering comprehensible and pragmatic solutions that meet the individual requirements and possibilities of the client.
