After completing his banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Düsseldorf and studying business administration at the University of Cologne, Marc Ufer worked for three years as a credit analyst and corporate client advisor at Bayerische Vereinsbank AG before moving to KPMG in Frankfurt in 1994. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector as an auditor for globally active banks, financial service providers and DAX40 companies and has extensive consulting experience in corporate transactions, IFRS/US GAAP conversion projects, risk management and capital market business. After his 3-year secondment in Zurich as Global Lead Partner of a leading investment bank, he took over responsibility for cross-service business development in Lower Saxony as Regional Director in Hanover and advised capital market-oriented companies in the automotive, chemical and biotechnology sectors as well as many family-owned companies.
As a native Rhinelander, it is a personal pleasure for Marc Ufer to now be responsible for the locations in Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Essen as Regional Director West - Düsseldorf:
