Growing digitalisation and increasing connectivity in the automotive industry offer a large attack surface for cyberattacks. Due to the upcoming legal regulations, automotive manufacturers are required to include cyber security in their entire value chain in order to maintain their business and competitiveness as manufacturers and suppliers. The solution offers mandatory cybersecurity management.
Fast, risk-adjusted and compliant implementation required
In order to guarantee the smooth networking of vehicles, both the UNECE WP.29 TF-CS/OTA is developing a regulation and the automotive industry is developing an ISO standard (ISO/SAE 21434) to minimise the increased risk of inadequately protected vehicles. Time is of the essence: from 2022, vehicles will only be type-approved with certification of a cybersecurity management system (CSMS). Rapid, risk-adapted and compliant implementation is required in order to be able to provide proof of the CSMS in good time.
