Following the release of the Pulse of Private Equity series, we were proud to bring you the 2025 Autumn edition of our Private Equity Connect sessions in Guernsey, London and Jersey.

Our Pulse of Private Equity series provides you with quarterly insights into the private equity market globally and in major regions around the world. Our unique methodology goes beyond buyouts to capture the full gamut of major PE deals activity; we also share perspectives into the market factors influencing key investment trends and look at how key trends might evolve over time.

Slides from the events are available to download below.

      Q3'25 Pulse of Private Equity

      Q3'25 Pulse of Private Equity

The private equity market continues to navigate a complex global landscape, where uncertainty and opportunity often coexist. Our PE Connect Autumn events brought together the Private Equity Leader community to share perspectives and explore what’s shaping the market today.

Across all sessions, we spotlighted global and regional trends, including the anticipated recovery in deal activity as macroeconomic conditions improve and interest rates decline. The reopening of IPO markets in the US and Asia is expected to create new exit pathways, though liquidity challenges remain a critical hurdle for the industry.

Technology dominated the conversation, with AI emerging as a key investment theme. From data centres to energy infrastructure, PE investors are actively seeking ways to capitalise on the rapid evolution of AI. At the same time, government investment in defence, infrastructure, and technology autonomy is expected to drive further opportunities over the coming quarters.

As always, it was fantastic to engage with our guests and exchange insights on how these trends will shape strategies for the months ahead.

KPMG are accelerating the value of generative AI with confidence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the world in which we live - impacting many aspects of everyday life, business and society. KPMG Member Firms help organisations utilize the transformative power of AI, including its ethical and responsible use.

As KPMG harnesses the power of AI and accelerates adoption, we recognise that advanced technologies can introduce complexity and AI risks that should be addressed clearly and responsibly.

During our PE connect events, we were delighted to share how we’ve already started to transform our Private Equity and Asset Management audits.

We’re continuing to build out our AI capabilities with increasingly sophisticated agents in KPMG Clara to enable KPMG firms’ auditors to more effectively respond to risks and deliver deeper audit insights. As KPMG firms accelerate the adoption of this innovative technology and deploy new capabilities, we are maintaining a high level of professional skepticism and upskilling KPMG professionals to drive trust in the market.

Our audits are enabled by technology and powered by our people.  You can with AI - with KPMG Audit.

AI is transforming the world in which we live—impacting many aspects of everyday life, business and society.
