KPMG's global responsibility program is called Our Impact Plan. The responsibility program outlines our commitments related to environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and good governance. KPMG Finland has prioritized the most locally significant responsibility topics from the global program and set key objectives for each theme. These guide our work and help us monitor our progress.

Code of conduct

Global Code of Conduct
KPMG represents a unified global service culture to its clients and other stakeholders wherever we operate. Our approach is based on KPMG's global Code of Conduct, which defines the foundations and basic principles of our ethical conduct.
Reliability, high professional ethics, and independence are the cornerstones of our operations. Our wide range of services in auditing, tax, and advisory means that we can offer all our services to our clients while considering the independence requirements set for our operations. We maintain a high level of quality in our operations and manage our risks.
Our expertise is based on understanding our clients' businesses and comprehensive industry knowledge. To maintain high professional skills, we support the continuous development of our staff's expertise and professionalism. We collaborate across service areas and KPMG member firms, combining our diverse expertise into clear, value-adding solutions for our clients.
We engage in active dialogue with the surrounding society and develop our service and product offerings to help our clients address the challenges and opportunities posed by a rapidly changing operating environment.
Quality certificates
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an international standard of information security management. Achieving certification for ISO27001 demonstrates that an organization is following recognized best practice on keeping information assets secure through an appropriate information risk framework, known as an Information Security Management System (ISMS). Following successful certification, the organization will be audited against the standard every year by an accredited external third party.
The certification covers all our group's business operations in Finland and Estonia, as well as the centralized support functions in Helsinki and Tallinn. Additionally, the scope of the certification includes the professional services we provide to our clients and stakeholders.
The certification underscores KPMG's dedication to information security and its ongoing efforts in maintenance and development. Through the certification, our clients and stakeholders can trust the measures we take to protect the information and assets entrusted to us while delivering our services.

Human rights commitment
We have published our human rights commitment as a public demonstration of our dedication to respecting human rights. The human rights commitment reinforces our commitment to respecting all internationally recognized human rights. Additionally, it outlines the key areas for incorporating this commitment into our operations and value chains, as well as KPMG's processes, practices, and management.
We expect all our employees to act in accordance with this commitment. We also expect our suppliers to commit to respecting the human rights declared as fundamental labor rights by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
