Dear Reader,

You are holding in your hands KPMG in Hungary’s Transparency Report for the financial year ended 30 September 2024. The financial year, and the period that has elapsed since then, have shown that the world is evolving extremely quickly and almost always changing. In the introduction to our 2023 report last year, we wrote that we were surrounded by the challenges of geopolitical and wider political uncertainties, a state of polycrisis. The situation did not change in 2024; in fact, after last year’s polycrisis, we had to learn another new word, permacrisis, a permanent, persistent and recurring crisis. It is attributable to this state of affairs that we see a more holistic approach emerging this year among the world’s leading CEOs: they are no longer just concerned with solving individual crises, but also with creating a business environment and corporate model, a vision as well as a related strategy and a culture that can meet any challenge, respond to it, and steer or keep the company on course.

The pace and scale of change happening around us only strengthens our resolve to ensure the quality, consistency and adaptability of our services are fit for this new future as well.

We prepare the Transparency Report every year, so you can see our work and our commitment, our approach to quality and improvement, but also so that you can understand the framework we operate with, and how we ensure professional development. In addition to this, we also aim to demonstrate how we meet our environmental, social and corporate governance objectives and commitments, based on our values.

We thank you for your trust and hope that this publication will inspire you and help you to understand KPMG’s commitment, its vision and its mission. We also provide this so we can be your partners in professional excellence and quality services.
