David has 30 years experience in deal advisory and transaction services, restructuring and insolvency as well as auditing with KPMG in Australia and Indonesia. He has been in Indonesia since 1998 working with Indonesian corporates, foreign and local investors and lenders.
He has led or been involved in a wide range of acquisition due diligence, market entry strategy assistance, corporate intelligence, M&A and other transaction advisory projects. These have given exposure to a broad range of industry sectors as well as business, accounting, commercial, operational, transaction and deal issues.
Sector experience includes ENR (mining, oil & gas, power); plantations and agriculture; telecommunications; healthcare; consumer markets; logistics, shipping and ports; property and real estate; education; multi-finance and securities brokerage as well as all key manufacturing sectors (automotive, pulp & paper, textiles & apparels and others).
He is the lead author of KPMG’s “Investing in Indonesia” publication, and has presented “Investing in Indonesia: practical insights” to numerous audiences including country business councils, foreign investor and government trade delegations as well as during an Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC) – KPMG Australia Indonesia Investment Roadshow in 2016.
