She has spearheaded marquee projects for both global and Indian clients, covering integrity due diligence, KYC/KYB compliance, third-party assessments, and, more recently, ESG diligence in supply chains. Her expertise lies in proactive risk and fraud mitigation, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities before they materialize. Her niche areas include conflict-of-interest assessments, related-party transactions, fit-and-proper diligence, and leveraging subscribed data sources to uncover potential concerns.
Ummehaani has also led large-scale engagements for multinational corporations, helping them evaluate ESG risks, reputational concerns, regulatory challenges, and employee health & safety risks, enabling informed and risk-aware decision-making.
Before joining KPMG India, she worked with Fidelity Management Research and GE Commercial Finance, providing strategic insights, market analysis, and competitive intelligence through analytics, dashboards, and newsletters.
