      A leading renewable energy platform in India was rapidly expanding its solar, wind, and battery energy storage portfolio. However, critical operational and business data remained fragmented across ERP systems, SCADA platforms, HR applications, energy analytics tools, spreadsheets, and departmental systems.

      To support its growth ambitions, the organisation worked with KPMG to launch a large-scale AI-led transformation program designed to unify enterprise data, digitise operations, and embed intelligence across the renewable energy value chain.

      The challenge

      Rapid business growth increased operational complexity across the renewable energy portfolio.

      Critical information was dispersed across multiple technology platforms, limiting visibility, slowing decision-making, and creating dependence on manual processes.

      Key business functions including land lease management, project monitoring, compliance tracking, maintenance planning, inventory management, reporting, and revenue reconciliation, relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual interventions.

      At the same time, large volumes of operational and asset data generated across solar, wind, and storage sites were not being fully leveraged to drive predictive insights, automation, or enterprise-wide optimisation.
