Jacob Gathecha is the Head of Audit, KPMG East Africa and a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team. Jacob is a qualified accountant and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the University of Nairobi. Jacob is accredited as an IFRS Review Partner by the IFRS Group, the London based KPMG IFRS Centre of Excellence. Jacob is our KPMG East Africa Audit Quality Performance Lead Partner. He has over 20 years post qualification experience gained at KPMG in providing audit, accounting and other advisory services for multinational and local clients in the East Africa region. He is the Partner responsible for Accounting Advisory, Payroll and Bookkeeping Services. Jacob was admitted to partnership in 2007.
