Willis joined KPMG in 2006 and has extensive experience working on diverse engagements in the technology, media, telecommunication, consumer, industrial markets, and financial services sectors in East Africa. This experience is complemented by similar work in the United States of America, where he was on secondment to the KPMG Chicago office.
He is responsible for leading technology audits in the Audit Business Unit which encompass technology governance, business continuity management, data and analytics, general IT controls, application controls, and infrastructure security reviews. He leads the IT Audit unit across East Africa in executing comprehensive IT audits as per the directives of banking regulators in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Willis holds a Masters of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor of Business Information Technology degree from Strathmore University. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a practicing member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
