      Stephen Ombasa joined KPMG in 2011.  Prior to joining KPMG, Stephen worked at another professional services firm as a Corporate Finance Consultant. He is a seasoned finance and strategy professional with over 17 years of experience advising both local and multinational clients across East Africa.  Since joining KPMG, he has played a pivotal role within the Strategy and Deal Advisory unit.

      Stephen’s expertise spans a broad spectrum of services, including transaction services, corporate and business strategy, sustainable finance, business valuation, infrastructure advisory, and turnaround and restructuring. His work has consistently delivered value to clients navigating complex financial and strategic challenges. 
      Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of  Nairobi and is a qualified accountant, being a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). 

      Beyond his professional responsibilities, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family and is actively involved in coaching and mentorship initiatives, reflecting his commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals.
