Daniel van der Kolk

I'm deeply passionate about the technology ecosystem, both from an entrepreneurial and a venture capital perspective. Since founding my first company in 2013 in the staffing industry, I’ve remained closely connected to the Dutch startup scene. Over the years, I’ve been involved in acquiring HR tech companies, building an EdTech startup with offices in the Netherlands and West Africa, and gaining hands-on experience working within several startups.

I lead KPMG’s Emerging Giants program in the Netherlands. Together with a dedicated team, we support startups and scaleups as they grow. Helping them navigate challenges around tax, finance, risk, and operations. These areas become especially important when companies hit key milestones like international expansion, team growth, or raising new funding rounds.

As Lead, I take a holistic approach to shaping and growing the Emerging Giants proposition, with the goal of creating meaningful impact for the next generation of tech-driven companies.
