Taufiq has more than Twenty years of professional experience and is currently leading a team of professionals in the Audit department in KPMGTH Karachi office.
He is responsible for supervision and finalization of the external audits of various local and multinational organizations in diversified sectors including banking, investment banking, insurance, manufacturing, servicing and trading etc.
He is well conversant with the corporate and tax laws including Insurance Ordinance, 2000 and Securities and Exchange Commission (Insurance) Rules, 2002, Banking Companies Ordinance 1962, Companies Ordinance 1984, regulatory environment and framework, etc. He has advised and assisted the clients on various matters and professional opinions on Accounting and Corporate Laws etc.
He has also served in various ICAP committees which includes development of Audit Practice Manual and preparation of financial statements format for banks and other financial institutions in line with International Financial Reporting Standards.
