Alin has extensive experience in tax advisory services and currently leads the Indirect Tax practice at KPMG in Romania. He is Head of Automotive and Industrial Markets at KPMG in Romania, and also has considerable experience in the development and implementation of Tax Technology solutions.
Alin also specializes in Tax Litigation and has a strong track record in helping clients to win cases, including both in Romanian courts as well as in the Court of Justice of the European Union. He has managed numerous complex projects including tax reviews, business restructuring, and assistance provided during tax audits carried out by the authorities to clients from a wide range of business sectors, including financial services, retail, automotive and real estate.
Alin is the representative of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants within the Indirect Tax Committee of CEE Tax Advisers Europe, the representative association for tax consultants in Europe. In this role, he participates actively in the consultation process on numerous initiatives concerning the European legal framework. He has also worked closely for several years with the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), the main global authority in the field of cross border tax, providing updates on Romanian fiscal legislation.
Alin regularly delivers specialised training courses to companies and he is a speaker at numerous business events. He is actively involved in the initiatives of various professional and business organizations (Amcham, the Foreign Investors Council and the Chamber of Fiscal Consultants) to modernize the Romanian fiscal environment.
Alin is a Vice-President of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants and of the Union of Liberal Professions of Romania. He holds prestigious international professional qualifications (ACCA and ADIT).
