Waqas joined KPMG as a Principal in Tax, specializing in corporate tax and Zakat. As ME Tax Markets Lead, he drives the markets efforts for the Tax function at KPMG in the Middle East.
Prior to joining KPMG, he spent over 17 years at another Big Four firm, of which 11 years were based in Riyadh. A seasoned tax professional, he provides structuring, compliance, and advisory services to local and multinational clients.
Waqas is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He is also an Associate Member of the Karachi Tax Bar Association and holds a commerce degree from the University of Karachi.
