Karol Balco

Karol has graduated from master's studies at Comenius University in Bratislava with a specialization in financial management. During his study at university, Karol started his career at KPMG in 2011 as an assistant in the tax advisory department and later in the deal advisory department. After graduating, he joined company full-time. For four years he was working in the deal advisory department, specializing in company valuation, financial modelling and M&A advisory. Subsequently, he was working directly with shareholders in the Matador Group for 2 years, where he was assisting in key M&A mandates and strategic projects. He was responsible for the regular valuation of companies in the group's portfolio for the purpose of strategic management and performance management. After leaving Matador, he was working for 2 years in Austria as a manager in a Big 4 company. He returned to KPMG in Slovakia in February 2020 and currently holds the position of director and leads the Valuation and Financial Modelling practice. In addition to his native Slovak, he speaks English and German.
