We are delighted to announce that KPMG Deal Advisory acted as the buy-side M&A advisor and successfully helped stakeholders of Heneken realize strategic acquisition of Slovak producer of overhead conductors Laná a.s.. The closing of the transaction is expected in the first, or at the latest, the second quarter of 2021. Along with plants for aluminium and zinc manufacturing, Heneken penetrates industry with production of higher added value.

Heneken has been operating on the Slovak market since 2007 and is one of the leading traders on the market of non-ferrous metals. As a significant Slovak exporter, Heneken group encompasses three production plants in Slovakia, though the core business is still based on trade with non-ferrous metals. Heneken runs its operations with the support of its offices in Turkey and Serbia, employs more than 200 people and achieves annual turnover reaching EUR 150 million.

Laná a.s. is a Slovak manufacturer with a legacy stretching over more than five decades. The production plant is located in the aluminium cluster in Žiar nad Hronom (ZSNP). The portfolio of the company contains drawn aluminium wires, aluminium conductors and seamless aluminium tubes. The company supplies mainly national transmission and distribution companies in Central Europe.

KPMG acted as the buy-side financial advisor to Heneken on the acquisition of a majority stake in Laná a.s.. KPMG provided comprehensive advisory services throughout the transaction, from providing assistance in preparing the offer, providing financial and tax due diligence, assisting in the preparation of contractual documentation and support in negotiations. KPMG also will provide support during the closing of the transactions.
