We are seeking a Tax Associate Director or Tax Manager to join our growing Tax Advisory team focusing on Mergers & Acquisition Tax. The successful candidate will report to Tax Partners or Tax Directors overseeing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on projects such as mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, corporate restructuring, initial public offerings, tax due diligence, tax rulings, tax incentives and tax risk management.
  • Providing clients with tax efficient solutions which take into consideration sound knowledge of our clients’ businesses.
  • Providing assistance and coordination for regional and/or global projects in various industries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, clients’ other advisors, and other stakeholders
  • Manage large projects and multiple teams (within KPMG Thailand or other KPMG member firms)
  • Mentor and develop staff, and review their performance
  • Assist with marketing and business development
  • Conduct and/or attend tax trainings, and independently keep current of updates in legislation impacting tax matters in Thailand and internationally

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Taxation, Accounting, Law, or Economics; other degree holders are encouraged to apply, and will be considered with relevant experience
  • Proven 4-10 years of related experience
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Good leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
  • Experience with reading and interpreting tax treaties
  • Prior M&A Tax / International Tax experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
  • Comfortable to correspond and speak directly with foreign clients and other KPMG member firms, usually in English
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
