      Mohamed Safouane joined KPMG Tunis in December 2016, where he advised the Ministers of Economy and Finance on projects related to tax reform, customs modernization, the digitization of the Ministry of Finance, and the restructuring of the banking sector. Previously, he advised the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia from 2006 to 2008 on monetary policy and the reorganization of the Central Bank of Tunisia. His career, which began in 1998 in higher education, includes positions at several universities, and he received an award for his thesis in Economics in 2004.

      He also served as a consultant to the African Development Bank for five years and possesses in-depth knowledge of the African continent.
