This one-hour session will delve into the significant developments following the end of the 9 July pause on country-specific reciprocal IEEPA tariffs imposed by the United States. The pause, which began 10 April 2025, offered temporary relief amidst a volatile tariff landscape as well as the facilitation of trade deals between the United States and impacted countries.

As the deadline approaches, uncertainty looms over whether the pause will be extended or lifted, with potentially varied and significant impacts on companies. While trade deals between the likes of the United Kingdom and China were completed, or nearing completion, the future remains unclear for the European Union. Will a trade deal be made or will EU exporters to the United States face tariff rates of 20% or even 50%?

In an era marked by shifting trade policies and economic uncertainties, understanding the implications of US tariff measures is crucial for businesses worldwide. This webinar explores the recent developments in US trade policies, analyzing their ripple effects on Customs and Transfer Pricing strategies.

The 90-day suspension of increased reciprocal tariffs is set to expire on 9 July 2025. Unless new agreements are negotiated (like in the case of the UK or China), or the presidential orders are contested by the US juridical system, significantly higher tariffs could automatically take effect, impacting a broad range of goods from key trading partners, including Switzerland and the UK.
