      Nashikta is a Partner and the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lead at KPMG South Africa, with more than 17 years of experience in technology risk and resilience services. Since joining KPMG in 2006, she has led and managed a wide range of engagements, including IT General Control Reviews (ITGCRs), Application Control Reviews (ACRs), information security assessments, change control reviews, eLearning engagements, and business continuity reviews.

      In her role as Partner, Nashikta is responsible for engagement quality assurance, financial performance oversight, people development, and business growth initiatives. She has extensive experience working across KPMG's local and global network, having delivered engagements in South Africa, Mozambique, Eswatini, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. She also completed a four-month secondment to KPMG's Canary Wharf office in London, where she managed financial services engagements and gained exposure to some of the world's leading banking and insurance institutions.

      Nashikta leads KPMG South Africa's Resilience team and is widely recognised for her expertise in business continuity and disaster recovery. She holds the Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI) designation, having passed the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) examination with distinction. Her experience spans the full BCM lifecycle, including strategy development, plan design and review, business continuity testing, disaster recovery planning, training, and awareness programmes.

      Her contributions to the profession have been recognised through several industry accolades, including the BCI Africa Industry Personality of the Year Award in 2016 and the BCI Africa Continuity & Resilience Consultant of the Year Award in 2019. She also contributed to the development of the 2018 edition of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines and has been involved in subsequent updates to the framework.

      Nashikta currently serves as President of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Southern Africa Chapter, where she continues to champion resilience best practices across the region.
