Finding your way through a busy airport to catch a flight is rarely a breeze, even with signs or information desks. The same can be said for snagging a free desk or meeting room at work. Now imagine doing this as someone who is visually impaired.
For the millions of people who are vision impaired globally, navigating complex indoor spaces is a daily challenge – one that Anna Wright, Founder and CEO of BindiMaps, is on a mission to solve.
Since 2017, BindiMaps has been revolutionising the way that we all navigate complex indoor spaces, such as offices, shopping centres, and hospitals.
KPMG High Growth Ventures has been helping BindiMaps strengthen its foundations, providing essential guidance around compliance, governance, and investor readiness.
The engagement began with supporting BindiMaps with their Research & Development (R&D) tax incentive applications to secure non-dilutive funding.
It has since expanded to include working on strategic growth strategies, including connecting BindiMaps with potential investors.
“When I tell investors KPMG has reviewed our financial and data models, it adds real credibility. Their assistance has allowed us to focus on what matters – advancing what we set out to achieve,” Anna said.
As a result, BindiMaps has refined its technology, striving for sub-30-centimetre accuracy to make navigation even more precise. Already implemented across KPMG’s offices nationally, Anna envisions broader adoption globally to foster even more inclusive workplaces.
The partnership has not only fuelled BindiMaps’ growth but also created a path toward greater accessibility for everyone – offering life-changing innovation to millions worldwide.
