Matthew is a Chartered Engineer and Director in the Engineering & Asset Management team within KPMG's national Infrastructure, Assets & Places division. He has over 20 years of professional experience in engineering, asset management and infrastructure.
Matthew specialises in government infrastructure asset portfolios, providing strategy, planning, investment advisory, maintenance and asset management. He has led multiple large asset management uplifts and successful budget request outcomes across different sectors.
Focusing on the efficient collection and analysis of data over an asset's lifecycle, Matthew synthesises this data to inform practical asset management strategies and financial plans to achieve an organisation's objectives, including the development of investment business cases, maintenance programs, capital expenditure and prioritisation frameworks.
In 2016, Matthew joined KPMG and became a Director in 2019. Prior to KPMG, Matthew worked in several engineering and site-based construction roles across a range of industries, primarily mining, ports, bulk commodities and oil & gas performing feasibility studies, structural analysis & design, construction and engineering condition assessments.
