At KPMG, sustainability is not just a service we offer - it's a responsibility we embrace.
As a purpose-led organisation, we are committed to embedding environmental and social responsibility into every aspect of our operations, culture, and decision-making.
KPMG’s Sustainability Priorities
Our climate commitments
We are on a path to reduce our emissions by 50% by 2030, based on our 2019 baseline. This includes:
- Procuring 100% renewable electricity across our offices
- Applying an internal carbon price to air travel
- Engaging suppliers to align with our decarbonisation goals
Our Climate Action Plan 2022–2030 outlines how we’re holding ourselves accountable and supporting Australia’s transition to net zero.
We believe in transparency. Through our annual Impact Plan and voluntary Climate Risk Report, we share our progress, challenges, and learnings openly. These reports reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible leadership.
We’re taking action to understand and reduce our impact on nature. Through the KPMG Nature Positive Challenge, we support startups and ventures restoring biodiversity. We also plant a tree for every employee each year and invest in high-integrity carbon credits.
Sustainability is embedded in our technology choices. We prioritise cloud and data partners with science-based emissions targets and have powered our offsite data centres with renewable electricity since 2024.
Our people are at the heart of our sustainability journey. From our Green Champions Network to sustainability training and volunteering, we empower our teams to lead change - at work and in their communities.
