Is there such a thing as a standard privacy project? What is the usual duration of privacy projects?
There is no standard template for privacy projects as each project is unique and tailored to the specific needs of the organization. The duration of privacy projects can vary depending on factors such as the scope of the project, the complexity of the privacy landscape, and the level of readiness within the organization. Typically, privacy projects can range from a few months to a year or more, but it ultimately depends on the specific requirements and objectives of the project.

What has been your most memorable project?
My most memorable project was my first project at KPMG. The project involved creating an entire digital regulation framework across various countries. During this project, we worked with a client that had establishments in 22 countries, for which we created a single framework encompassing regulations on privacy, data retention, data localization, and more.
What is a project that you would really like to work on?
I really enjoy working on privacy framework implementation projects from start to finish. It’s rewarding to help guide clients through the maze of requirements and see them gradually grow into a more mature organization when it comes to data protection.
How did you end up in the KPMG privacy team?
I studied law and pursued a master's degree in intellectual property and ICT law, where I discovered the complexities of privacy legislation. So, when I was job hunting this was the main area I focused on. I hadn’t initially considered KPMG, but the great vibes during the interview convinced me, and I’m still happy to be here four years later!
