      Corporate Citizenship at KPMG

KPMG in Bermuda has a dedicated committee overseeing our corporate citizenship initiatives. Our firm’s mandate is driven by the impact we are making on our community, the engagement of our people, and what we are known for in the marketplace.

Our commitment to corporate citizenship focuses on these areas: Youth development, education, health, and the environment. We align our efforts with local initiatives and activities that benefit communities and its members. In addition to volunteer time and financial contributions to registered charities, we provide hundreds of hours of pro bono professional services to not-for-profit organisations each year.

      Our commitment: communities

Bermuda is the community in which we live and work. We act as responsible corporate citizens, committing time, resources, and financial support to local service organisations and charities, with a particular focus on education and youth development. Each year, our Make A Difference Day is a hands-on volunteering day where our employees give their time to make a positive difference in our local community.

      Our commitment: education and youth

KPMG is a leader in the training, development and encouragement of young Bermudians. Our internships, graduate program and scholarship opportunities support students at all levels. Our KPMG Senior School  Investment Challenge is our long-running and popular educational program designed to generate interest in investing for the future.

      Our commitment: environment

We care about the environment. Through our local and global Green initiatives, we are focused on reducing our environmental impact, supporting research and its outcomes through volunteer work, environmental partnerships and driving initiatives that engage and empower our people, clients, and suppliers.

      Our commitment: health

Through our firm’s sponsored Wellness Program, we participate in many sporting and well-being events, and provide ongoing support of Bermuda’s key health and support-related charities. This includes our annual KPMG Round the Grounds Running Race and other junior sports programs.

      Our giving policy

KPMG’s giving policy is limited to registered charities in Bermuda and their local activities. We are unable to provide financial support to individuals, for overseas trips and events, or for religious organisations. We do support select community outreach projects that are led by religious-based organisations such as the Salvation Army, and we have also contributed to overseas disaster recovery efforts under the Red Cross.
