Anam is a Partner in Advisory at KPMG in Bermuda and leads the Financial Risk Management practice. She is a qualified actuary with more than 17 years’ experience in the insurance sector. She works closely with insurers, reinsurers, and regulators to deliver high quality, technically robust outcomes, drawing on the strength of the KPMG global network and multidisciplinary teams. Prior to joining KPMG, she worked in London specialising in insurance mergers and acquisitions, post‑merger integration and growth strategy, and Solvency II regulation.

Anam has worked with a broad range of insurers and reinsurers across Bermuda and other international markets. Anam serves as the Engagement Lead for all of the firm’s Loss Reserve Specialist Opinions in Bermuda, overseeing teams providing loss reserving reviews, and has also acted as a second reviewer on opinions led by other Partners and Directors. She has supported insurance regulators through supervisory on‑site assessments of (re)insurers, reviewing governance structures, operational processes, controls, and Board fitness and propriety. She has also led reviews of regulatory disclosures for several Bermuda reinsurers. Her actuarial work includes leading projects across both P&C and Life insurers to calculate Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirements, including technical provisions. Since 2019, she has led KPMG’s BSCR training programme, delivering technical training on the regime to market participants in Bermuda.

Anam’s broader advisory experience includes leading multidisciplinary teams across strategy, actuarial, risk, and finance to support the establishment and growth of insurers and reinsurers in Bermuda. This work has included the development of financial projections, business plans, licensing submissions, and operational and risk frameworks. She has led a strategic capital optimisation engagement for a Bermuda‑headquartered global run-off group, assessing jurisdictional balance sheet structures and optimising internal reinsurance arrangements. She has also supported buy side financial due diligence for a reinsurance group, contributing to a USD 1 billion investment.

She has significant experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes. This includes leading elements of the finance transformation of a global reinsurer ahead of IFRS implementation, reducing the time required to complete entity-level quarterly reporting from Working Day 23 to Working Day 13. Her work combines deep technical knowledge with practical implementation experience. Her earlier career also includes leading post-merger strategy and operating model redesigns for European insurers, delivering material improvements in expense ratios, growth, and operating efficiency.
