Adam is a Partner and the Head of Advisory and Markets at KPMG in Bermuda, with over 20 years of experience serving the local and international markets, including some of KPMG’s largest clients. He also serves as the Sector Lead for Insurance for the KPMG Islands Group (KIG), overseeing all sector activities across audit, advisory, and tax. In addition, Adam leads KPMG’s Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) Team, providing audit, tax, and advisory services for a variety of ILS structures, including catastrophe bonds, ILS funds, sidecars, special purpose insurers, and segregated account companies.
Throughout his career, Adam has worked with a broad range of global and regional insurance and reinsurance clients across the non-life, life, and ILS sectors. He has led group audits for SEC registrants, LSE listed companies, and large non-public organisations operating in jurisdictions including the United States, the United Kingdom (including Lloyd’s), Ireland, Switzerland, and Singapore. Adam has supported clients with cost optimisation initiatives, SOX implementation, business transformation, and numerous deal advisory engagements, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and initial public offerings.
Adam has deep technical expertise in financial reporting and accounting matters related to complex insurance arrangements, fair value measurement of ILS instruments, business combinations, and consolidation. He has significant experience with SEC reporting, US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and Bermuda statutory filings, and has worked closely with the Bermuda Monetary Authority’s Licensing and Authorizations Department reviewing regulatory filings on their behalf.
Previously, Adam served as Head of People at KPMG in Bermuda, overseeing talent management, learning and development, performance management, and the development of the firm’s culture, contributing to KPMG in Bermuda’s ambition to be the most trusted and trustworthy professional services firm.
