Phil Collins

Phil is an Audit and Accounting Advisory Partner based out of KPMG’s Hamilton office. He has over 12 years of experience at the firm and serves, or has served, several large privately-owned and public companies across a range of industries including industrial manufacturing, retail, business services, private equity, and technology. 

Phil’s clients appreciate his attention to detail, dedication, experience, and resourcefulness which allow him to navigate complex accounting, financial reporting, audit, and regulatory matters in an effective and efficient manner. Phil is a hands-on, relationship focused communicator that has a long history of working side-by-side with his clients. His work with public companies, as well as his involvement in securities transactions, have provided him with an excellent working knowledge of regulatory and accounting requirements. He is deeply experienced in IFRS, US GAAP, and OSC financial reporting matters, where he supports companies through complex accounting matters such as revenue recognition, mergers and acquisitions, impairment, complex financial instruments, and best practices in internal control over financial reporting.
