David is KPMG’s Partner-In-Charge and Regional Practice Leader for the Tax Incentive Practice in Regions East. He has a solid understanding of both technical and financial issues as related to the SR&ED program, with over 15 years of experience in delivering successful SR&ED engagements. David also leads KPMG’s Government Assistance Practice where he assists companies identify, prioritize, apply and report on numerous Government funds, grants, loans and other forms of assistance.
His experience spans industries including Engineering, Health Sciences, Food, Industrial Manufacturing, Defense, Automotive and Information Technology. He was a contributor to CRA’s Labour Allocation Policy Paper as well as leading KPMG’s responses to CRA’s Policy Paper Consultation project.
David has extensive experience in assisting companies leverage the value of SR&ED tax credits and other forms of Government assistance opportunities available to companies, with the view of enhancing tax efficiency and cash flows, thereby increasing our clients’ return on their Government Assistance and SR&ED investments. David has also successfully helped our clients implement and modify their SR&ED process and has defended 100’s of our clients SR&ED claims over his tenure at KPMG. David leads a team of 30 engineers, scientists, financial and tax professionals.
