Matthew is a Tax Partner in the St. John’s, NL office of KPMG. He has over 12 years of experience providing Canadian tax advisory, both private and public, in various industries including, but not limited to oil and gas, real estate, technology and public utilities.
Matthew has experience advising clients in all aspects of corporate and shareholder taxation and brings a common sense approach by working closely to co-develop realistic tax solutions that fit with his clients’ current needs as well as their future aspirations.
Matthew advises inbound non-resident corporations with respect to tax effective structuring, treaty interpretation, and other related tax advisory services. He also works with owner-managed businesses in areas such as the development of succession plans and divestiture support.
