Sean Makahonuk

Sean Makahonuk is Private Enterprise Audit Partner in Saskatoon. Prior to joining KPMG, he worked at another Big 4 accounting firm for more than 15 years. While most of his experience was in the private company audit & assurance practice, he also spent a couple of years overseeing the delivery of Cloud-enabled process modernization, outsourced accounting and financial reporting for tech startups and UHNW wealth owners and their family offices. Sean has experience across a wide array of industries including innovation and tech, industrial fabrication, paving, construction, mining supply, agriculture, retail & consumer, wealth & family office, NPO and Indigenous governments.

Sean is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, founders and their businesses achieve “what is most important” to them by connecting them to the best of KPMG. Sean is a proud champion of the SK Tech scene and leads KPMG’s collaboration with Co.Labs, Saskatoon’s tech incubator/accelerator. He works with founders and their startups from seed to scale and beyond exit to take care of all their accounting, tax, SR&ED & government incentives, assurance and all other business needs.
