Filing of a Notice of Intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50.4 (1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the "BIA")
On October 26th, 2018, Royal Électrique GC Inc. (the "Company" or the "Debtor") filed a notice of intention to file a proposal (the “NOI”) pursuant to Section 50.4 (1) of the BIA and KPMG Inc. (“KPMG”) has consented to act as Trustee under the proposal.
Appointment of an Interim Receiver pursuant to section 47.1 (1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the "BIA")
On October 29th, 2018, the Quebec Superior Court (the "Court") issued an order appointing KPMG Inc. (“KPMG”) as Interim Receiver to the property of Royal Électrique GC Inc. pursuant to section 47.1 (1) of the BIA.
The Company was deemed to have filed an assignment on the 5th day of January 2019, due to the non-filing of the proposal and KPMG Inc. was appointed as trustee of the estate of the bankrupt.
