Thomas Affolter’s KPMG career spans almost 30 years. He was promoted to Partner in 2006 and headed the Regional Market Central Switzerland from 2016 – 2023.
A Swiss certified accountant, Thomas has a very broad expertise in group auditing of listed and private companies of various sizes and industries (with a focus on the industrial, consumer goods and retail sector). Furthermore, he has supported his clients in various acquisitions and divestitures, capital market transactions and restructurings.
Thomas has in-depth expertise in IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER, M&A, capital market and financing topics. In addition, he is specialized in IT-based audits and the application of modern data analysis tools.
As a representative of KPMG, he is board member of the TECHNOPARK Luzern and is regularly active in the Central Switzerland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
