Stefan Kuhn is Head of Tax & Legal at KPMG Switzerland. He leads the function with a commitment to technology-driven solutions and digital transformation.
Stefan advises national and international companies from a broad range of sectors, sharing his in-depth accounting knowledge and deep understanding of the Swiss and global tax landscape. With roles in several national task forces, he has been instrumental in shaping corporate tax reform in Switzerland and advising clients at every turn of the legislative process.
Stefan advises many of KPMG’s multinational clients in Swiss corporate and international tax matters, with a special focus on tax-efficient supply chain management and international tax. He is an expert in Swiss and foreign tax structures as well as inbound and outbound tax planning. Offering buy and sell-side expertise in tax due diligence and international tax structuring, Stefan has helped bring many M&A transactions to a successful close.
Stefan launched his career at an international accounting firm in 2000 before joining KPMG in 2006. Previously, he worked as a scientific assistant in tax law at the University of St. Gallen. Today, he still maintains strong links to the world of academia. A frequent lecturer at the Swiss Tax Academy and University of Applied Sciences in Zurich, Stefan regularly contributes to international tax symposia.
