Thomas Schneider has over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry in Switzerland. Prior to 2011, he held various actuarial roles in the non-life insurance sector, including Head of Reserving at a globally active reinsurer and Head of the Pricing and Reserving team for the internal reinsurance division of a global primary insurer.
Since 2011, Thomas has been a Partner at KPMG Switzerland and Head of the Actuarial and Insurance Risk practice. He has successfully developed the Actuarial and Insurance Risk team into one of the leading teams in the market. From 2019 to 2025, Thomas led the insurance sector at KPMG AG in Switzerland.
He has extensive experience in consulting projects and actuarial audits for primary insurers, reinsurers, and health insurers, both locally and globally. Thomas is a specialist in non-life actuarial topics. He is also an active member of the Swiss Association of Actuaries (SAV) and has led working groups on Non-Life IFRS 17 and Inflation.
